From Larnaka when taking the old Larnaca – Dekeleia road, the beautiful village of Voroklini can be seen deep in the left side. On the right side you find yourself looking at the beach of Voroklini.
The village about 8 Km from Larnaca center is located at an altitude of 50 meters above sea level and at the foot of a small plateau.
A small cluster of hills provide the back-drop to this stunning village. If you take the short drive or (for the more energetic) the pleasant hike to the top on one of these hills, you will find the small church of Profites Elias. From this vantage point you can see spectacular views of Larnaca bay to the front, fields and meadows to the rear and the surrounding villages of Pyla and Livadia to either side.
A lighted
pedestrians’ street of 850 meters leads to the beach. Crossing the Larnaca – Dekeleia
road and you will be drawn to the beach of Voroklini. This sandy shore is more
than two and a half kilometers long and up to 30 meters wide. Thin-grain sand
with a few scattered, small, multi-colored pebbles give it a magical touch as
it is still unspoilt.
Saphire
coloured shallow waters turn into emerald and further out the deep sea is dark
blue.

The narrow local streets are
laden with family restaurants and taverns playing the characteristic Greek Cypriot
tunes. Serving traditional local dishes under the smiling spring sun or the evening
starlit during the spring and summer months to locals and visitors is all to common
in the village. An ample supply of small stores are available to satisfy your everyday
needs. You will find time and again that philoxenia -- Hospitality and friendship
toward a guest -- is a time honored rule in the Village of Voroklini.
During
your stay at ANTONIS G. HOTEL apartments, you will have the opportunity to get
a taste of the culture, hospitality of a traditional Cypriot village, experience
the rich traditions and customs, and authentic way of life of the fun loving Cypriots
themselves.

The
Kafeneon
The coffee houses or 'Kafenion' are mostly frequented
by the local men of the village. Here they can indulge in Cyprus coffee, beer
and spirits whilst playing cards and 'Tavli' (otherwise know as Backgammon) with
their mates.
